Terrorattackerna i London

Lite upplyftande var det att läsa om Imaans entydiga fördömande av terrorattackerna i London. "Imaan is a social support group for Muslim lesbians, gays, bisexuals, transgender, those questioning their sexuality or gender identity and their friends and supporters."

Imaan Condemns London Terror Attacks Post by Imaan Chair Person on Jul 7, 2005, 2:43pm Imaan Press Release 7th July 2005

"Imaan, the Social Support group for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Muslims strongly denounces the acts of terror committed in London today.Imaan offers its sincere condolences and prayers to the friends and family of the victims and laments the senseless bloodshed and horror this cowardly attack has caused.Imaan stands united in defiance with Londoners and the rest of the country against those who seek to impose their objectives in such a violent and abhorrent manner. It has not been a week since Imaan took part at the London Gay Pride rally in Trafalgar Square where it’s chairperson appealed for greater understanding between Muslims and non-Muslims but we believe that the vast majority of the LGBT communities see the attacks for what they are: senseless, detestable and in no way endorsed by the vast majority of Muslims, gay or straight.Again we offer our prayers and deepest sympathies to those affected by the events today."
